While the Mamprusi are the ruling tribe and their language, Mampruli, is the local trade language, they are one of more than 20 people groups who attend Baptist Medical Centre. The Health Ministry Team, the chaplains, and other Christian workers minister to each people group, each person, who attends BMC. Annually over 65,000 patients and caregivers attend our outpatient clinics or are admitted to the hospital. Each person has the opportunity to hear the Gospel and many decisions for the Lord are made. Over the years, a large number of churches and preaching points have been established and there are now a number of trained, local leaders. However, Islam, imported from Iran, is now spreading rapidly in this region.
