The Gera live in Bauchi State, an area dominated by the Hausa. Though many speak Hausa, it is not their heart language. There are still no Gospel Recordings in the Gera language. The area where they live is hot and dry from February to May. Rainy season is from June to October but the villages where the Gera live would still be accessible. The Gera are the largest and most influential ethnic group in Bauchi Local Government area.
